Dad’s can be very tough to shop for. If your husband or dad is anything like my husband, he usually buys himself anything he actually wants. Over the years I have tried to get him things that I think he will like. A few times I have succeeded, but a lot of times, it is something he never ends up needing. For this blog post, I decided to ask my husband what Dads want for Father’s Day Gifts.

Sentimental Gifts
For a gift that has sentimental meaning but is still very useful, I turn to Shutterfly. There are tons of great gifts that you can personalize with pictures of the kids. We have gotten mugs, mousepads, calendars, framed photos, magnets, bookmarks, and so much more. Another great place for customized gifts like beer mugs, cutting boards, aprons and more is PersonalCreations.com.
Clothing
Most Dads do not want any more ties so here are some alternative options. Express offers great clothes for work. You could get him a nice dress shirt, some really fun socks, a belt or more. They also often have great deals and have excellent quality. A place that my husband discovered not long ago that he fell in love with is Untuckit. This place has dress shirts that are meant not to be tucked in so are great for the business casual workplace. They are great to pair with nice jeans and don’t look too long because they are made to be left untucked.

Unique Gifts
Here are some out of the box ideas that the Dad in your life would love!
- Learning about their history with 23 and Me. This is an amazing program that, with just some spit in a cup and a little waiting, you can find out all about your ancestry. I personally love the option with the health add-on. I found out so many traits I had that were genetic.
- An experience- Groupon is a great place to find fun experiences. My husband and I tried archery, skeet shooting, an aircraft carrier tour and Duffy boat rides through Groupon.
- For something simple but unique check out the LovePop cards. They just got a bunch of Star Wars pop up cards. These things are truly impressive and is not a card that anyone will want to throw away.
- For the Dads that like video games: A gift card to Steam, Epic, Uplay
Some Classic but Awesome Gifts
When deciding what to get the Dad in your life look at what his passions are. What is something that he finds pleasure in? Does he love food, sports, cars, tools, computers, video games or something else? It should be something that lets him know he is appreciated and thought about. Good luck picking out great Father’s Day Gifts!
