Being a good blogger definitely starts with quality content. What if you are the best writer ever but no one ever sees your content? This is where SEO and keywords are very important. Most new bloggers get scared when they see SEO because it is a foreign concept to them. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is really about providing quality content but being strategic so Google can find it. By knowing what words people are searching for, you can make your site stand out. MonsterInsights is the best plugin to help you with keywords and SEO. It incorporates the Google Search Console to analyze important data for your site.

Using MonsterInsights
MonsterInsights is one of the first plugins I added when I started my blog. I had heard great things about it and the ratings were very good. The free version is great when you are first starting out and wanting to just see some basic analytics. With the free version of MonsterInsights, you can see how many visitors are coming to your site. You can also see the countries they are from and how they found your site.
The paid version of MonsterInsights is perfect when you are ready to get serious about your blog/business. You can connect your Google Analytics and Google Search console to see current analytical data. Knowing which keywords your site is ranking for will help you create more targeted content. These analytics will show you how you are coming up on Google and when people are actually choosing your site in their searches.
Advanced Features
Some of the other amazing features with the paid plan include tracking affiliate links and ads. This is helpful so you can know how people are converting and what they are clicking on. You can also see your stats for your Yoast SEO score and how that affects your traffic. If you also use Yoast, which I highly recommend, MonsterInsights can help you segment traffic by focused keywords. Definitely my favorite feature though is easy access to the Google Search Console analytics.
Keywords and SEO
When you have connected the Google Search Console with your MonsterInsights plugin, magic will happen. At your fingertips, you will start to see the keywords that your blog/business is ranking for AND when people actually click to choose your site. By having this information available you can either try to change the keywords you are using or you can add more content around those keywords. It just depends on whether the keywords you are ranking for are the ones you want to rank for. By doing keyword research you can also see similar keywords which will help you create more related content as well.
If you are serious about your blog/business then just go straight for the paid version of MonsterInsights because it will help you start growing your traffic organically much quicker. Why waste time??
